Why wait for 8990? ^^
The current 7990 is a dual GPU, where one GPU has the power between a 7950 and 7970.
The GTX Titan is a single GPU..
In general the 7990 is about 30% faster than Titan.. and now SLI the Titan and RIP 7990 ^^
I am an AMD fan but nVidia cards are really not bad tbh, especially the 700 series o_o
But hey Ray. Who knows... Maybe even the 8970 kills the 890? That would be so o__________o

Re: Microsoft is at it again
You idiots have no idea how Java works. Java is a virtual environment, a virtual machine if you will. Java throws everything into the memory (RAM), it requires very little IO (reading and writing files to your hard drive), the downfall there is it needs loads of RAM and CPU power to execute everything. I have 16GB of RAM in my PC, if I run Java with a 512x texture pack I need to throw 8GB at Java to get a decent frame rate, I also have a 2600k @ 3.7GHz, which is a pretty decent CPU. I only have a GTX560 in my rig, but, I can run a 1024x texture pack if I really wanted to, and I have done before, it does however take ages to load the game, it has to unpack hundreds of MB of textures files and place them in your memory for Java to use.
Minecraft on Xbox, does not use Java, it's a new engine, it's an entirely different game. The textures for it aren't 16x, just incase you were wondering, they are upscaled. The worlds are limited to 864x864, which is 54x54 chunks. A maximum of 373,248 blocks. The game's coded in C++, a much cleaner language, which has direct access to hardware, Java, does not.

Re: Microsoft is at it again
Also multiplayer is free on PC, unlike Xbox. Does Valve charge to play Steam games online? MS tried it with H2V and it FAILED!
On another note, this should be locked as there is too much arguing and spam going on. Battle and Beasty, seriously, either ignore each other or settle your differences.
So now I am going to pretend I am a mod and hope this tides it over until one actually sees this
/locked

Re: Microsoft is at it again
Pirate, when GFWL was introduced it had a Silver and Gold structure. I wasn't around on PC back then, but I'm guessing it locked out everything unless server browser unless you bought Gold. Also, my H2V came with a GFWL Gold trial
