I need a speedcube, can't really decide if the Dayan zhanchi is the best choice, people are saying that it some time lacks control.
There were a lot of options on the list which got me even more confused.
But more importantly, 55mm or 57mm

Go for the 55mm.
The Dayan Zhanchi is a pretty good cube, it corner cuts very good, it looks beautiful tiled.
It does lack control sometimes but once you get used to it you have a lot and can get great times.

btw, do you vaseline lube it?
I heard vaseline mildly dissolves the plastic everntually.

The current cubes idc, but I don't want to lube the zhanchi with vaseline.

I don't, I use silicone spray for all of mine but for the dayan it had a negative effect. :(
