Ok, A windows live id is a Windows live user.
you use it for alot of things, messenger, hotmail, ninemsn, or in our cases, Xbox Live.

When you create a user on Halo 2 (or the gfwl mainframe), you are actually making a xbox liver user,
and vice versa for xbox live,

so pretty much yor gfwl user is a xbox live account.

When you sign into xbox.com, you have a basic gamerpic (dog, cat, happyface), and no avatar.

you will also notice that all your halo 2 friends are listed, alog with your achievements and messages.

the online avatar editor can be used to create your own portals..er..gamerpic


Plz note, even though you can play online on halo 2, you have to still pay on xbox (gold)
