when 1.00/1.09 servers die would be my guess, if you need help playing on SmG severs because you updated to 1.10 pm me.

Since this version changer didnt work, you could do what i did.

- install the full version and update it to 1.10
- download the portable version and keep it at 1.00

for the versionchanger to work you need to be using 1.09 or 1.00

Ray's method is one route route(what I use) and here's a link to the portable

The other method would be re-installing and updating to 1.09 with this patch
then using Version Changer to disable the update check.

After the 1.00/1.09 serverlist goes down you could uninstall the portable edition or update your halo to 1.10 with halo updates

No, that was only about HOW to update to 1.10, NOT how to play on different versions.

But the OP clearly said you could switch between lower versions AND to 1.10. I already replaced strings.dll and copied versionchanger.dll but nothing happens when i type version into console.

My version would be easier, as IF the 1.00/1.09 master server does go down, you would simply just delete halo ce portable as you already have 1.10 installed.

Also, your second method doesnt explain how you would play on 1.10. :p
