If you haven't noticed Germany ball possession percentage and their attempts don't match up. The Germans were actually surprised because they did have a higher possession percentage and still couldn't deal with Argentina's defense. Tell they broke it at the second overtime. Also the goalie had more blocks than Germany's goalie.

Their plan was simple. Concentrate on defense because that's where they are good at. They know Germany has a better offence with one good striker. So they didn't want them to have that big of advantage.
