Defensive (tank) build is "ok" on sona as you'll be acting more as a front line disturber like braum, however keep in mind this build solely bases on her utility (her r) as her q, w, and e will not be effective in a teamfight as opposed to offensive (damage) sona. imo, i would build her semi tanky.
sightstone, merc treads, hourglass, rylai, locket and (rod, liandray, iceborn, or a defense item)
