The best part about this is the blatant, shameless product placement for all the shit in the background (or foreground if you're a hyped up peice of shit like the Pill or whatever-the-fuck-beer-that-was).
And the worst part is that when we're all old and crusty and music has moved on, we'll be wishing all this was back. I have no way of counting the number of times I've heard a 40+ -something saysomething about a song on the radio that they absolutely hated when it was popular, but now they enjoy it because of it's appeal contrasted with the current musical trends.
I personaly think the whole reaction is one part nostalgia, and the other previously stated.
