To Sman- Is that the distance between the flags or the whole length?? The flag distance in extinction, is around 3.2km, but i think the whole map is 5 km....

and its the distance between the flag but the map is at least half a kilometer longer

i saw vids on youtube of vehicle overview inside the pillar of autumn, but its like only the blue base right?
they dun show the red base

Dude are u sure cause in terms of file size- hugeass is only 23.7 MB -http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=1196
where as extinction is alot bigger at 38.3 MB http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=2040

The file size has little to do with the size of the map, it depends more on the complexity of the map, scenery, etc.
Having said that larger maps will make larger files for the same complexity.

Flag distance is approx 6km as for the map itself :?:
probably bigger.
In file size it is 76.2mb
