What am I suppose to say? They are smart? That is just plain out lying. If they can't take in heavy criticism then they should have never have been promoted to Mod.
It's not about telling the truth, it's about knowing how to word things when you want something. Even if the Mods were Nazi's, calling them that and then asking for something is just retarded. Know how to play the game nerd.
I mean I agree with you in the whole "they should never have been mods if they can't take criticism", which is why I don't understand you as of late. In the past, certain staff members took critisim so overly personal that they closed threads and even temp banned people for "causing drama" or "flaming", and I agree that's bullshit. They are prone to receive even more criticism because of the very position they hold.
But I also know that the staff members right now are definitely more lenient then some of the other lineups in the past, which is why I don't understand why you're bitching right now. Because you have had a history of ass kissing in the past, but now suddenly when they have the audacity to do anything at all you freak out?
Oh and by the way, your whole point is moot because they closed Leaf's thread about Catholic schools when he requested it to be closed, so I don't even know what the fuck your arguing for.
Leaf say's he wants it closed it can close. That's not want I say is wrong. He has the right to say the thread needs to be locked. But it also goes with the idea that it should not be locked when the person that made that thread does not mind.
Fair enough, but what about when it needs to be closed or remain open in spite of the OP's wishes?
That's why ultimately the discretion falls upon mods. Their position is to act in accordance with when they believe something has gone too far/not far enough to warrant closure.
Now, you can argue if certain people are not fit for the position based on their judgements in the past/present, but to argue that the responsibility should not ultimately fall on a Mod designated specifically to make such decisions is just silly.
Going to far is like everything in the Internet. They at least should consent with whoever made the thread and ask if it is ok. This going to far thing is just really dumb now as we all know now that everything in the Internet goes far.
Like I can call anyone a idiot and get warning out of that. Like seriously? I look at the warning and the first thing that pops up in my head is. Wow. These mods are fuckin dumb.
Shit some of these mods sometimes do the things I do.
