Bravo and I overheard the conversation that lead to it being locked, but I will say that it was an old post that was defunct for a long time and then revived, I was for allowing it to continue but I guess I wasn't convincing enough.
It was being used to disrespect clan members and generally thought to an excuse to spam the forums, therefore leading to posting ranks that were not really deserved.
As for the counting game, that has not been locked because it continues to stay on topic (for the most part) and has a definite goal at which to stop and be locked.

If you don't agree with what has been done, start a poll.
Just note that some of our members are young and their parents could ban them from the clan if they see some of the posts that have been posted already

Not sure of the original idea of forum ranks, but I would think that it was a way of seeing how people were contributing to the clan with constructive posts, I don't think spam is constructive. I think it is just annoying, if you have something that adds to the original post that's ok,
but if it's way off topic, then that is spam.

I have gone off topic before myself, but that was only to make a point and then it was not expected for the off topic subject to be followed.
I usually also make a statement that what I am saying is off topic and does not need to be answered. Damn, off topic again :ops:

If you want to discuss this further start a new topic and then we can ramble on without spamming this post. :up:

PS to Tetris it's not the post count that was the concern, it was how some members got such a high post count, and whether they got there by spamming the forums. (There may have been some of that originally, even though they don't think so, but I think that they have improved greatly)
