That's actually not that broken. You can just kill the blue eyes in play. Current Yugioh meta is insanely fast. You don't have that much time to get a single blue eyes to stick to the field. Things like Brotherhood would annihilate that deck unless your opening hand was exactly 3 blue eyes a poly and that card. Even then not really. Actually now that I think about, that card is pretty bad. It just slightly buffs the Blue eyes deck, but it will never survive against top tier decks still.

Have you seen all the recent support for Blue-Eyes? Also, you could easily get an ult out on board and have it survive, just know what you're playing against and know how to have the right negates and counters in your deck. 

I do actively play, not just dueling network or devpro, but actual in person. I go to locals and regionals, but I hardly have had much time to play enough and go any furthers. I've finally got lots more of spare time since I'm now done with school. 

I still prefer to play my Harpies and Gustos, which can work wonders if you know how to build and think ahead with the majority of the meta being linear pretty much now, with a couple small variations in plays. It's really simple to outplay top tier. 
I played PePe and Monarchs some, same with Kozmo, played Satellarknights for a while, same with Shaddoll(back in their prime) Nekroz I played for a month or two, then parted with shortly before Brio got hit, so I was lucky to move it in time to make my money back before the huge price changes haha. I've played the majority of top-tier decks since 2014. Used to play 2003-2009, quit, then got back early 2014, been playing since. 

Fire fists are making a comeback, somewhat, thinks to their field spell, but it's mostly hybrids, not pure builds, that see play more often now. I'm starting to pick up blue-eyes stuff now and run it since there's enough for me to play more than just sitting on the synchro and doing like 3 plays.

If you play tournaments it's completely different lol. Online you have to be prepared to face everything and I'm pretty sure Blue-Eyes is sorta dead. I haven't looked into the Yugioh meta for over a year though. But I remember Blue eyes never being at the top.

W have new Buster Blader, Dark Magician, Blue-Eyes, Red-Eyes support, and many more old arhetypes been getting uspport lately. Trust me, Blue-Eyes holds up today. you can play Buster Balder & Blue-Eyes and do very well, there's two locks you can make as well. Trust me, they are competitive again. No more of the silly Maiden Synchro plays, we have a new egg, sage, twin blue-eyes, max, and more haha.
