RE: Life lesson

But the golf balls and sand have the same volume regardless of which one you put in first, so isn't it factually incorrect to say that there isn't any room for them in the jar if you put the sand in first? Like just push the golf balls into the sand or something dude. Further proof college is a meme smh.

Pretty sure forcefully pushing things to make life work isn't a great idea.

RE: Life lesson

Isn't analogy kind of bad if it falls apart once you actually think about it?

RE: Life lesson

It's good enough if you don't overanalyse it.

I'm pretty sure I'm not over-analyzing it; the idea that order of the contents you put into the jar changes is the central point, and it's also flat out a wrong conclusion. Seems to me like it was a hamfisted in. Besides, I'm pretty sure that it's not that people CAN'T worry about the important things in life if they worry about the small stuff first, it's more like they forget about the important things, in which case is further proof that the analogy is bad, since the idea was that you CAN'T fit the big stuff into the jar, which is both literally and metaphorically false.

Gonna have to thumb this video down smh.

RE: Life lesson

Forget the big things and sand takes its place. Works fine to me.
