For me the discord server is great but there is one thing I would add to it and that's a place for the new people on the discord server to try and get to know what we do on the server a little more. 

This thing that I'm suggesting doesn't have to happen but something like a welcoming channel might help some of the new people and also the server because if the server has a place for that then you could add the forums and the new people can see that.

This idea might also help some of the members of the server because there are usually a good amount of people every day asking what we do on this server and if maybe the server manager would be able to set new people joining the server to automatically join that chat when they join the discord then they could read everything and find the links to like the forums and other places to connect to the server and other people.

I'm not saying this has to happen but it would help and it doesn't even have to be what I said it could be something totally diffren't as long as it helps new people.

Hiya, nice suggestion, what we do try and do is welcome people in general chat (), so they kinda can just jump into the convo. The only time that might not happen is in dead chat hours. With questions and stuff, mainly staff answer those and sometimes members do offer a hand. I think everyone gets a default link to forums when they join anyway if I remember correctly. I also think we're working on some help with that too for everyone. :)

A welcome chat would be nice. Tho I wouldn't be able to welcome everyone and keep up with gen chat at the same time. Maybe get a welcome bot xD. I mean laziness to the max in 2017 am I right?

I can agree with the selfies channel, also when people join I can't remember since it was a while ago does it automatically toss you in general chat? Maybe if all new users were automatically directed to the welcome/rules section, then they would have an excuse to start acting a fool right as they came in?
