Laptop performance

Is it worth it to upgrade my RAM from 2GB to 8 just to reduce lag when I playing games?

Atleast raise my FPS from 20 to 40 or higher

RE: Laptop performance

Depends on your context of "lag". Lag can be attributed to more than just the ram including but not limited to the cpu, gpu, hdd or internet speed.

RE: Laptop performance

It would help greatly, but there is also a lot more factors that play into performance of a game etc.

Can also try Hilago Boost

The main problem is the RAM usage

I have 2 GB ram and when I turn it on my laptop it already use 1 GB

RE: Laptop performance

What games do you lag in? What's your setup?

RE: Laptop performance

Yeah 2gb is rough. I used to have that. At least 4gb is good. Don't think you can really 'upgrade' it apart from buying a new laptop or setup.

RE: Laptop performance

4GB is a struggle. 8GB is enough.

RE: Laptop performance

Is the ram in dimm slots or soldered onto the motherboard?
