I see what you're saying and I fully understood that before, however, my point was this new feature that's going to be handed down to recruiters+ doesn't change that at all. Moderators aren't able to hand out ranks therefore it's not taking away or giving privileges to them, thus meaning that their powers will stay the same regardless of whether recruiters get a new feature or not. It means that the admins hand down an extra privileges to recruiters so they have less to do.

In terms of hierarchy, I don't quite fully understand how it all works but basically there's a conflict in roles and responsibilities between moderators and recruiters and god knows what else. Generally, recruiters recruit and moderators moderate, right? That's generally the roles and responsibilities. But remember, who sets them roles and responsibilities? Are those the same at every forum? Some forums use their moderate to moderate others use their moderators to advertise and build content. As I'm more or less an outsider looking in, I think the next step for the admins of this forum is to publicly outline the ranks, roles and responsibilities so you can clearly see where the conflicts happen and where ranks are doing the same job and cancelling each other out.

That makes Moderators literally almost useless.

Why is that rank still there, and why is it on a higher tier list while having less "work" to do as a Moderator compared to a Recruiter.

Mods are basically admins without ACP on the forums lol.

Remember when we had captains too? Which were just mods with a blue rank instead of a green one?

I've already provided the reason as to why I'm not active atm, I don't have to repeat myself.

Giving recruiters the ability to promote recruits to new members will only make the recruiting process efficient, since recruiters will be able to do it, I assume Moderators also will be able to do it.

As for moderating the discord, the sole purpose of letting different ranks moderate the discord is due to its activity and the amount of shit that has to be dealt with. Even though we have so many 'moderators' I still find 'some' admins dealing with reports constantly. Everyone over here is trying to help out in their free time, so its how it is. Not everyone lives the same life.

I mean with all of you guys complaining about how moderators are useless would you prefer if we couldn't moderate the discord? As flash said in a sense the only reason why we have those perms is because of the size of the discord and our lack of mods at this given moment. Moderator still do have the job of making sure our forum is clean and they do other things here and there with admins because they are trusted. Mods might do less than recruiters but when you think about it they probably did the same if not more to become a mod in the first place, it's the same as in real life where in alot of jobs the more you rank up is the less physical work you do and the more dictation and decision making in the business you do.... Simple

It's a high rank that requires upper staff to trust the person that will be given mod, you can't just "promote more people", its not that easy lol.
