That makes Moderators literally almost useless.

Why is that rank still there, and why is it on a higher tier list while having less "work" to do as a Moderator compared to a Recruiter.


Ugh, I will never understand SmG's ranking system.

In regards to the new updates, Moderators are already useless. Right now all that happens is a recruiter will accept a new member, and an admin will physically change that new member's usergroup to reflect their acceptance. All this will do is allow the recruiter to cut out the admin part and promote the user themselves. Unsure how Moderators fit into that process.

Looking forward to it I'm assuming mods will also be able to do this as well, regarding the changing to new member thing.

I forgot about that. I think you're right. I'll make it so x groups are allowed to use this new feature.

This was something I tried to implement a while ago but it needed changes to the website that I couldn't access.
Mods will still need to moderate the forums like they have before.

You wouldn't need exclusive access to do the recruiter feature. It'll be done as a plugin and just added to the forum as a third-party. Again, unsure why mods are being mentioned when that won't affect them at all. Do Moderators have some sort of input on the recruitment process?

Quick question, what is the exact process of becoming a member? I just feel like we are way overdoing the amount of people joining. Like half of the 'Today Post' consist of threads of welcoming new members. It is so over saturated that there isn't even a point of having those threads anymore as they lost value.

Before it meant something. Now it just ridicules.

You create an application and you either get accepted or denied. Not much to it. IMO when it comes to forums there can never be an overpopulation. A lot of forums don't even have half of SmG's user-base, so the more users the merrier. I don't think welcome threads are even meant to have as much value as you make them out to. They're literally there to welcome new users and find out more about them. That's literally it.
