Gamergate can be hard to explain, but basically its women's negative depiction in games.

what is your biggest game related pet peeve? 

One of my biggest pet peeves relating to gaming is the modern censoring of games.
I believe that you can make a game on everything. And the thought of triggered snowflakes changing it makes my blood boil qwq

Mine would be that games that only released on that certain platform or the barrier of having to buy the same game for different platform. I know it's business related marketing strategy or whatever but still it's a bad way for the users to be able to meet different players on different platforms.

this is more about the people in games buut

a big ole pet peeve is when people take the game waay too seriously and think they're hot stuff (it's even worse when they actually suck at the game and blame other players for it :/  ). it's chill to be competitive but you don't gotta be a jerk about it.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That, and when games are released on multiple platforms, but don't have cross-plarform multiplayer
