 (For those who don't understand the meanings, Irrational is used to describe an unreasonable and/

or something not logical while Rational is the complete opposite and is used to describe something reasonable and/or logical).

We all have fears others may deem either rational or irrational, a common rational fear is the fear could be discrimination, loads of people of all races, colours and nationalities could fear being discriminated upon purely based on their race etc. Contrasting to this an irrational fear is arachnophobia (The fear of spiders) this fear could be deemed irrational due to you posing a much larger threat to spiders than they do to you.

Everyone has fears, some rational, some irrational. While some think a certain fear is irrational others could claim it's rational, depending on the situation.

I have a fear of Washing Machines. HANG ON, HANG ON LET ME EXPLAIN. One night my brother thought it was a good idea to chase me with a knife. A KNIFE. Anyway, I hid from him after tripping him over whilst chasing me, and I, obviously, his in the washing machine. I don't know how or why, but the washing machine was turned on WHILE I WAS IN THERE. Luckily, my mum heard my screams of terror, and stopped it. I never told her why I was in there and my brother never told me off for the next 2 months. So yea, now I have a RATIONAL fear of washing machines.

My absolute biggest fear is being entrapped in a small space and being underwater... so I guess like a submarine? But I just have a fear of the water finding a way into the enclosed space which would result in me drowning. But I’m not claustrophobic or scared of going onto a boat or anything. Just afraid of that specific scenario. I mean I’d say it’s a pretty rational fear. I’d imagine that most people would be afraid of this, as well.

My top fear is being in complete darkness. There's a logical story behind this fear, but yeah. Im scared of the dark basically. That's my rational fear.
