In most societies the great majority of people eat meat, but increasing controversy and debate has arisen over the ethics of eating animals. The most commonly given ethical objection to meat eating is that for most people living in the developed world it is not necessary for survival or health slaughtering animals solely because people enjoy the taste of meat is argued by some to be wrong and morally unjustifiable.

i take an ethics class and this question could literally be talked about the entire semester. ethics standards change depending on the society that we live in. In ancient civilizations, it may have been ethically permissible to give human sacrifices to the gods. Thus with a changing society comes changing ethical standards. We as a society might be moving to new ethical standards which say eating meat is wrong but, to me and many others, eating meat is not a big deal.

I don't think eating meat is wrong. It gives us nourishment.

That being said if the animal gets slaughtered, they shouldn't suffer.

I don't eat meat. It's not appealing to me, tbh. xD

As far as if it's morally wrong? I don't think eating the animal is morally wrong as it is treating the animal in a way that's godawful while it's alive could be seen as morally wrong-- in my personal opinion. Like, I don't like how animals are being treated and slaughtered and  zapped and shanked and choked and thrown and sat on.
