Well, mostly it's religious differences.
Both Christianity and Islam have been killing homosexual for a long time.
Christianity doesn't approve of it. It stands in Leviticus, chapter 18, not sure what verse tho.
But the explanation used most when told why is "Eva was created out of Adam, and men and woman are created for each other."
Tho they are stopped killing them.
Idk much about Islam, but I know in some countries heavily influenced by it, they still kill them.
There were rumours of Russia killing gay people, and Russia, even tho people forget it. Is still a very religious country.
But those rumours were false, created by American television to spread fear.

Its not okay to kill anybody, but sadly some people dont think the same.
