When the sun dies, does it go supernova or just turn into a nebula? i have been confused with this subject for a long time and need help.

Our Sun will go supernova in a few BILLION years and expand in size and explode and leaves behind it's core as a neuron star, hope I helped!

Wtf, no it won't. Our sun isn't large enough to supernova. It will just expand and eventually shrink no matter how lame that sounds.

What Phoenix said is true, for a sun to go supernova, it has to have the mass of (1.98855±0.00025)×1030×8 kg

Our sun has only (1.98855±0.00025)×1030 kg
