Personally I don't think that teacher's being armed is really the source of the problem with school shootings. I think that there should be more background checks and mental health checks instead of it being easy to get a gun since a lot of people easily have access to guns. I'm not saying to ban guns since you know, that's never gonna pass, but maybe be more aware and exclusive with who is able to have access to guns.  I don't know. It's barely almost March and there's already been 18 shootings. That makes it up to 3 shootings a week. I think this is a good discussion. Don't attack me for my opinion and I don't mean to offend anyone.  I just want a good controlled discussion on this topic.

I'm against it personally, but if a state's PEOPLE vote and decide that they want to allow their teachers the choice and let them bring a gun with them to work if they CHOOSE and can pass the requisite firearm proficiency tests regularly, then I don't really see the harm. Especially since at that point, the parents of the students would also be aware that they're child's teacher may or may not be armed and able to protect them. But it HAS to be up to the teacher. It can NOT be EXPECTED of the teacher to offer their life for their students. They are already leading the future of our country and not being paid accordingly. To force them to also offer their lives in defense of their students is too much.

Well I don't think so coz It's not the solution.
I mean they are teachers and who knows that if anytime and anyone can get disturbed or into any such activities.
You can't relie on such solutions.

How can anyone just sit back and watch while this happens? Of course we should give teachers guns. People can argue it any way they want, but you can't change the facts and stats. 1 vs. 50 and the 1 is armed. How many die? 1 vs. 50 and 10 are armed? I mean, it's just logical to put a weapon in the hands of someone who would realistically lay their life down to protect their students in that situation either.

Oh, I hear you, teachers didn't sign up for this! Yeah, well, they didn't sign up to get killed defenseless either...? Why would teachers be like, "Oh, I didn't sign up to defend students, I'd rather be unarmed." No teacher would rationally say that.
