If you're planning to choose a topic which requires a higher level, then it's recommended to go to university. You'll get an extra certificate when you pass and it'll allow you to be chosen to pick a very wealthy job. If you just want to pass and prefer a normal or different decent job, College or Sixth form is recommended.

but are there any other alternatives to that etc , cause i think most of the peope who say overrated are either the ones who didn't get a job or either those who wanted to go to college but couldn't afford it

Well, after high school, you don't need to go college or university or anything like that, but it'll be harder for you to find a job, which is why it's highly recommended to attend one of them. But it all depends on what grades you got from secondary school.

Get into a top tier university so you don't get cucked. If you go to a second tier uni, then obviously you will struggle to compete against an OP who graduated from Harvard for example.

Gotta look for scholarships then ~ since I have the motivation + sports quota in cricket 
 
I just don't want money to be spent on something that's overrated and not useful 

It can be useful for stuff like engineering ~

 I ain't from US either e.e I'm asian
And here there's much more theoretical stuff than practical 

So yeah ~ i expect more practicals in university
