I am curious about something. I am not a programmer or what ever yuh wanna call it, but i am about ready to make animated signatures for everyone. Problem is, the signature data limit is only 5mb. There might be a legit reason why that is that i am not aware of. Due to that number, my own animated sigs have to be severely compressed and downgraded just to get down to the 5mb and less mark. If we were to increses the limit to at least 10 or 8mb at the least, i would be able to make decent GIFS with that number. Again increasing it is only a suggestion coming from someone who does not understand the difficulty of the task but i would like to know of it could be considered?

So Cloud limited this a while back. I've forgotten the exact reason, but he just didn't want super complicated images here that someone with slow net would be unable to load up.
At most, I'd say 10. Any more and Flash will not be able to browse forums for more than 5 seconds before his usage runs out. Lul

The data limit is good because signatures can't make page loading slower. As not lots of people have fast Internet. Though people can disable the signatures but that kinda sucks because people do like looking at signatures.

Oh okay that actually makes alot of sense, thanks alot guy's ~ i think 5mb might be good then. I dont wanna cause any speed problems and stuff for anyone >.<

Yeah it'll increase the rate of the website taking ages to load.

That and it also decreases the chances of anything malicious (even though MyBB is good at sanitizing images/links prior to upload) being binded to the image due to the small file size.

I would say it could be unlimited if someone in charge knew how to make it only load visible signatures
