Thinking about mine really bothers me a lot lmao. So I was 15 that time and I remember telling my mum that I'm secretly the best chef in the world. So I kept saying that over and over until my mum actually gets pissed. So she sent me to the kitchen, told me to make rice with beans, which she knows I hated beans, and I wasn't allowed to leave the kitchen until its done. So I got really scared and started straight away. I put the rice in the pan, DRIED rice, nothing added into it, and just started cooking it. But then I forgot she said I had to add beans into it too, so I stopped the gas, and that was the time I got completely clueless. So I thought, instead of not doing anything, might as well finish off the rice. Turns out, the rice was black. So then I tried to evade from my mum's leather belts by simply going to her and say that I've finished. She had a smile on her face and proudly walked into the kitchen, meanwhile I sneaked out of the house and ran off. In about 30 minutes, I came back again, being aware that she might sneak on me. She left the burned rice on the front of the house door and put up a paper sign telling me to eat it or I'm not going inside. I had no choice.

My Mom was asking me to make rice.. i thought i knew how.... but we had this new thing called rice cooker.. I was shooked i immediately placed rice in the rice cooker. I did not know that there was a rice pot i thought that the rice cooker was the rice pot itself. So i filled it with water. At that moment i knew that i did something wrong. The water seeped out of the rice cooker. I was like meh so i plugged it in... i noticed after a few mins it wasnt cooking so i touched the inside of the rice cooker i was electrocuted.. luckily didnt die.So i filled it with more water even though the water kept seeping out. My mom got home pissed af. She told me i was lucky the rice cooker didnt blow up

I killed one of my parrots, but not intentionally.

I was heating up a Teflon pan to fry up some home fries and his cage was right next to the kitchen. Unfortunately the pan got too hot and released a gas from the heated teflon that is basically a nerve gas to birds.

Worst part was I didn't learn that teflon could release that gas when heated to high until several years later.

LPT: Don't keep birds near your kitchen or they could die.

I once burned water.... Not joking. I burned water in a pan. The water turned black and you could smell it got burned. I just wanted some noodles, but didnt even come to them.

I don't know why I did this, and my siblings joke about it to this day too.

I made popcorn one day. And it was good popcorn, I ate the whole damn bag and everything. But there were those little kernels that didn't pop before leftover in the bag. For some reason, I thought "why not cook them and not waste them". My dumbass puts the kernels on a paper plate and I use twist ties (mind you, twist ties have metal in them) and I throw that thing in the microwave and set that sh*t to 1 minute.

The paper plate caught fire, the microwave broke, ... the kernels didn't pop.

I guess when I was making a sandwich. (No joke like it actually happened) so I was making a turkey sandwich for myself and I usually put mayo, mustard, turkey, and yes....lettuce. but instead of grabbing mayo I grabbed whipped cream (and keep in mind the whipped cream was in a different container) so I had whipped cream on a turkey sandwich. Yay
