I joined SmG to become more familiar with the gaming community and gaming since I wanted to start gaming. I'm just wondering which games should I play or what type of games? I don't know, I've never played video games but they seem so interesting.

Well there are many types of games.
I would go with whatever your favorite movie genre is and check out some games that are similar.

Hmm really depends on what type of person you are.
If you like movies a lot, or read books. Games with a lot of storie would be cool. Sadly, most story driven games are single player.
So the communication with other players are not that big. I personally love Horror games, I can recomend The park, blank mirrors, home sweet home and calling.
If you are more of a person who likes teamwork and competition. Multiplayers would be a better choice. A lot of people here play fortnite, overwatch and brawlhalla.

currently i like to play scrap mechanic as you can go crazy and build what you want.... you are only limited by your mind.

i would say DOTA 2 but this being ur first game
better off start off with something casual like brawhalla and aim for the SmG torni with it maby
and then u can dive in to fortnite or minecraft
cause league and dota or cs go like games will cause u a metal break down as u are new and are likely to fail to perform up the mark , cause of which your team might do some serious bad mouthing resulting in emotional negativity
u could also play games first/ third person offline games to get used to the gaming mechanism like reloading and aiming and crouching
their is a easy way out just, play a MMORPG it will be really tough but it will get u a lot of knowledge games like guild war
how ever in this time just plat fortnite it being free and u failing for the purpose of learnin wont cause a much emotional issues as u leave game as soon as u die
HENCE PLAY FORTNITE its not i like it. i dnt even play it but ur circumstances prove this to be the best result
