If you go to the user control panel and select edit options then you can select one of the board style options listed.
Those are the only options currently available.

I only allowed it for admins to change styles. The others are mainly there for testing they are not for public use. 

We put up a lighter theme people complained to us for a darker one...

So hmmm.
