After reading OP, I realized I take for granted that there are some things I take for granted. I do my best to appreciate the little things, but there is no way I do not take something for granted sometimes. I mostly take modern medicine for granted, but I suppose in some way it is granted, in that it was invented in the past. I take the lack of wild violent chaos in my society for granted.
