Hey guys! I'm going to go and try to get my first job soon and I would like to hear advice from more experienced people. I don't want to embarrass myself and I'm really stressed and I really need help. (If it's gonna help I'm going to work in a cafe or fast food chain restaurant.)

I recommend looking for a small mom & pop restaurant rather than micky d's(for example). If you want lots of tips go to a full restaurant rather than fast food, it will be a tougher job though.

I'm currently a supervisor at a busy inner city cafe. The thing I see most with people coming to hand in their resume is that they just give it and walk away.
since it's a customer facing job show you can handle small talk, show that you're friendly and polite, also be mindful if they're in a rush or are busy.
And fake confidence, it'll come.
