There are differences between the two and I think we should all establish some sort of premise. Being educated, you are following a "formal process" whereas knowledge is informal. Although both are somewhat correlated, one is taught by teachers where as the other is self-driven.
Thus, my question to all of you guys is, would you rather be knowledgeable through being self-driven or taught by education system?
The only catch is that you are homeschooled or you can't get "formal help" from teacher if you were to choose the self-driven path.
I'd probs choose the knowledgeable path because the currently education system (in America at least) does not teach what should be taught in primary school.
I would probably choose the Knowledgeable path because if you ask me to be forced to study following the current education system I would probably say no because no one likes to have deadlines and projects etc. It will definitely decrease your interest in that certain topic.
While studying alone will definitely more fun because you have all the time to learn those stuff and you can actually choose what you really want to study. In addition, right now you can find anything you want on internet and there is crash courses where you can learn stuff which is can be accessed easily using internet. Also you will gain experience when learning stuff alone and going through fails and retrying again until you perfect that particular subject.
Thus, I think the Knowledgeable path is better than the Educational path :D

Being educated and being knowledgeable is kinda a different. Education provides you with a place in society while knowledge gives you both the bad and the good. If you aren't educated you wont be able to diffrenciate between the good and the bad. Hence they go hand in hand for a sane personality. ;3
Being knowledgeable of course, being educated is just being good at things they teach you in school, being knowledgeable is gaining knowledge outside of school
I would want to be knowledgeable. Only because (as Rooma said) i hate the deadlines and being pressured into having to do a certain task in a certain amount of time.
