It's possible we'll see hovercraft of some sort first, but it's hard to tell when that type of technology will be available to the public. Speculating so, and referring back to the Back to the Future movies, the advancement of such technology may take us years to build and perfect before we start seeing it in everyday use...that's assuming we don't hit a road block before hand.


P.S: I mentioned the Back to the Future movies because they basically made a prediction that the future would look extremely different then it did in their time, which in reality it didn't much.
