Console gaming for people who have less time to themselves and are very busy.  PC Gaming for the more intense and involved people that have a lot of time.  If we're talking about deciding factors on what would make people want to choose one or the other some people just like ease of access and don't want the liability of having to deal with computer problems when if the console fails they can just get a new one under warranty.  Since you are looking at having to replace single parts of a PC under warranty vs here have your entire console replaced no problem.  Some people own all.  Some might say because they've always gamed with controllers or keyboards they would never dare use the other one.  People may refuse to adapt to a major change like that because it would be frustrating for some.

PC is overall the better bang for your buck with almost all the same games with higher performance potential and why buy a new console every few years when you can just upgrade your build?

Definitely PC. Just for the reason that when you get a pc, it can do a lot more than play games. Even if it's a gaming pc. Its usefulness goes far beyond it's intended purpose.
