I honestly would love to have an open mic night to get to know ppl better in the server but I know what that might mean too. Been in situations like this before and it gets hectic with so many ppl in voice at once. Ppl get really crazy too and start being loud over others. I am not sure how it would work but I'd still enjoy trying it. Just would have to deal with the ones that aren't taking it serious and are interrupting.

During the open mic event everyone is muted expect one person who’s turn it is to talk and the host. Y’all get a chance to speak one by one so people won’t interrupt or go crazy.

I have never participated in an open mic night nor a movie event in SmG because of my timezone. Almost all events are hosted at or near to 5 am. Hoping this one might be hosted sometime else.

But to answer the question, yeah I’d go with open mic event because movie nights are getting so cliche now.
