yes they do play for fun, I think the confusion comes because they play MLG style very often "for fun". ex. FFA MLG, MLG Team. More than just farting around in a custom map or random weaps, sword games, top, ect. Most people get run down with MLG style games because elite MLG players run the map. So in there defense, they dont wish to get pwned in an MLG game over and over when other options are available. Thats why people have come to associate MLG players as tryhards. Simple profilization.
