Whenever one of my friends go through a breakup I give them time to proccess it then I talk to them. I have to go to sleep in a bit, so I'm going to dm you tommorow or whenever we both free.

Actually no. Just give it time. You're gonna remember them now and then even after you've "moved on". It just takes time. I'd suggest taking away anything and everything that reminds you of them. Hope you'll move on soon.

tbh I am an extreme virgin, but some of the things I would do is, playing video games like rust or csgo surfing lobby’s (if they are still active). The reason I say you should play these games are because if you randomly talk to people in the voice chat, you would laugh so hard and stop thinking about sad things like break ups. And it’s so random (In a good way). This is some of the reasons I have 1k+ hours on both games. if you have a pc, it’s a must to try.

focus on yourself. do the most you can to improve your mental state. talk to someone, share your emotions and thoughts with them. they might be able to help but you must feel comfortable with telling them all the details.

Not everyone is the same. Instead you should've told him to do something that eases stress for him. For some people videogames can add stress. Remember when we played halo? That's a great example of what I said rn. It added to ur stress.
