RE: Evolution of Open World Video Games

You are correct. Nowadays these open world games is not opened. In Gta V we can't go inside every single building.

Euro Truck Simulator 2 is much better than some open world games.

What do you guys think about the evolution of open world games?
Which game needs to be remastered?
See this video.

Do you know what doesn't need to be remastered again? GTA V. But also yeah remasters are pretty lame. I think game developers seriously need to innovate more to keep people interested. There is no point to remasters most of the time simply because sequels exist. You could do what Rockstar did with rdr2 by significantly improving on the first rdr, but instead make it a remaster. It will be objectively worse because it will have recycled content, more so than any sequel normally will. I think open world games need to go forward by making players feel more immersed into the open world and able to witness the size of it. My problem with GTA V, as much as it is one of the most fun games ever, is that I feel like I'm walking through the same place for most of the game, there's not enough variety in the environment for me. The problem with GTA V is that it's set in the real world in our time period, full of things I see every day. When I play a game, I play it to see something I don't see anywhere else. I also think an improvement would be to be able to go to everywhere I see. I want to be able to go to a cornershop and go inside, I want to have a real world around me that I can properly interact with. I want real traffic, real daylight cycles and real changes in people outside on different days of the week. I want to see my actions affect the world around me. Now a lot of the things I just said are largely unreasonable to ask for with current technology and the devices we run games on, but I hope one day there can be an open world game where you truly can do everything.

Ive never played Need For Speed: Underground 2 but ive watched some gameplay and it looks badass,  It would be awesome to have that game remastered.

I think it's interesting how you point out that you want to see new things you don't see every day when you get on a game. For me, I like both because you get to live a normal life in ways you don't get to in your actual life. For example getting a cooler car or a different job or a certain pet etc etc. But at the same time, going into a completely new type of world and experiencing that is often more rewarding if the game is done right
