What was one of the most scary things youve ever been through, or... if youre brave enough what was the scariest. >:)



Im terrified of needles, not sewing needles or tattoo needles, im terrified of syringes specifically or needles with tubes that suck out your blood, even just looking at one makes me feel sick or wanna throw up, I remember one time specifically they had to inject steroids into my eyelid to shrink a sty infection in my lower left eyelid, so they had to use a syringe and inject it in my eyelid and I had to keep my eye open while they did it, the procedure was only supposed to take 30 minutes but it ended up taking 4 hours because no matter how many drugs they gave me I kept panicking every time they tried to inject my eyelid, eventually multiple people had to hold me down and hold my eyelids open so they could do it, I remember I was so scared that I actually cried half way through like a bitch lmao.

Since im a person of color, someone mistook me for someone else for stealing their shoes and they rolled up on me when I was walking home with a gun. Once they figured out that I wasnt their guy, they simply apologized.

Ive had a knife to my throat by a drunk army vet, I think irrational fears like syringes or heights scare me more than death tbh, but that sucks and im sorry you went through that.

We used to play hide and seek as kids, me and my cousins. I once hid inside this granary reservoir in the form of a table (A furniture ethnic to where I'm from). After I was hiding there, my aunt came and closed the door. These doors can only be opened from the outside and the chamber itself didn't have any ventilation for obvious reasons as it was a granary reservoir. I began to suffocate and none of my kin heard my cries for help. Fortunately, the seeker did. If she hadn't checked the kitchen that day, I probably would've died. Truth be told, I almost shit myself then. I'm a teensy bit claustrophobic thanks to this incident.

The fact you had to go through this is horrible. I've never personally experienced situations like this yet, I'm sorry you had to deal with this. I hope a day comes when this sort of stuff doesn't happen but that's probably after my lifetime

When I was a kid, I was sitting upstairs while someone pulled a knife on my parents. Fortunately, police arrived and nobody got hurt, but as a 10-12yo (I don't exactly remember my exact age), this was traumatizing.

Must’ve been a horrible feeling though, but ay atleast he recognised and didn’t shoot.

I don’t really have one apart from when I was around 8-9 I went swimming with my mum and brothers and at the time I couldn’t swim so i was only allowed in the shallow area. but this time there was a massive water obstacle course. It went into the deep end but I just had to go on it. Long story short I slipped off into the deep & started drowning but thankfully my mum had just realised what I’d done and managed to jump in and save me. 
Next week my dad enrolled me into swimming lessons and now I’m a strong ass swimmer so we good.
