no it actually has more memory than it says. The memory is not exact. Has a little over. They are saying it is best used within 8 and now ur are goin over that. :D so u should delte some stuff. like apps probably

You guys have it backwards, when an electronic says it has an amount of memory they usually end up with less, since of all the programs and things pre-uploaded on them. Like if you g on your computer and see how much memory it has it will say like 247.75 GB, when it was supposed to have 250.

Formatting. Pretty sure iPods use FAT, which isn't the best formatting out there. Plus the firmware. Most likely solution is that it warns you before you fill it, because when the drive reaches nearer to full capacity it gets noticeably slower.

tl;dr you're 0.32 over the recommended max.
