I am .... bad with the BR but Im pretty decent using the DMR at reach and I juts love that weapon in bug maps you can shoot form one side of the map of the other with it and atcually kill some1. THough they are different weapons and its completely different to use the dmr compared to the BR.

br has a shorter range than DMR. DMR is very easy to use. you don't even have to scope. the aimer point is good without scope.

DMR because you have more ammo in the magazine and it only takes a few shots to get a kill.Good enough to kill 3 people without reloading unless you miss a shot.

yeah but the reload does take a little longer. i timed them just now in some clips in YouTube like montages and the br does fasted. i also used some of clouds clips for the br. and you have too miss one of the shots. the only way to make it very effective is to aimbot that is you can't because its not for pc.

Honestly, i'd prefer the BR because it's more cartoony. The DMR is an actually Military weapon, with the Reach DMR being based off the Mk. XI, which has a med-long range accuracy, A 22 inches, or 560mm stainless steel, using the Leupold Mark 4 Day scopes or AN/PVS-10 night sight scopes. The DMR Mk 11 tends to be used by EOD's, or Explosive Ordnance Disposal teams, Scout Snipres and sniper spotters.

The BR uses NATO rounds, 7.62x51mm (why would you have a french army in a future where we're fighting aliens?), and is a gas-operated, mag fed, semi auto weapon.

So, put simply the BR is a futuristic take on the DMR, with a stronger burst fire than the DMR.
The DMR is simply a mimic, a less imaginative (?) weapon. Not much thought put into it, just wanting it to be like the real deal. I'm one to believe that video games were designed to ESCAPE reality, not bring it to our doorstep. That is one reason why I dislike cod, it's a really boring, repetitive game. But anyway, enough of this, put simply, I prefer Cartoony weapons over realistic ones.

I actually think the DMR was based off of the Battle Rifle, since when Halo 2 was being made, they made the battle rifle one-shot, much like the DMR. However, later they changed it to 3-shot.
I think the DMR is just something Bungie made to use the idea of a powerful, one-shot weapon with good range.
In my opinion, the DMR is better.
