It is not a bug, we don't allow elites on our servers. If you don't know why then ask Cloud or PirateEggs what they think of elites.

im guessing its because of the side shooting problem that sometimes occurs when your an elite? Besides being a spartan is better, elites have nice big heads that make easy targets [supasnipa]

And, no you are a spartan the entire time, hell if there were any reflective surfaces nearby I bet you would see yourself as a spartan.
The rest of the server sees you as a spartan while you see elite hands. lol a little think Cloud and Pirate made.
