My toshiba is about 6 months old, it has an i7. Just open chrome or work on a powerpoint, and its 80 degrees Celsius. Play game, ~40 min and it overheats. (With a cooling pad.)

have you have other things running. if so. stop running things if you don't use them.
and mac is the only computer i hate. the others a good and ok.
oh and mystic. here is just some ideas of what to do.
1. open the cd drive and leave it (if there is a cd)
2. close programs you don't use like Skype etc.
3. if your room has high tempeture. put computer near a window.
4. clean computer. it will help the dusts get out because some of the dust just blocks the heat coming out. If you can open up your computer and clean. much better way.

Dude, idk what is wrong with your Toshiba, but it should'nt overheat that quickly. We used to have one and it got too hot to keep on your lap after like 2 hours of solid high graphics(at that time) gaming. And at my church they use one all day for song slideshows, videos, etc and it's fine.

I'd say Acer man, they sell cheap s**t, which have the same specs as a high end Dell or HP computer

Custom pcs are superior.
I worked for apple...i know the issues...and they have a lot of issues.
Custom= cheaper and more powerful.

Watching Nebula argue over computer knowledge...makes me want to stomp puppies.

I have my gtx 560m overclocked and my fan at 100%, i get temps around 60-70...and thats for like 5+ hours of gaming lol..
