Of course adding text is easy... When you use MS Paint.

Just use a guillotine, or scissors ...

Photoshop really is an amazing program, you can do a lot with it. I only know small parts of it though, I have taught myself 95% of what I know, with the occasional Google search here and there because I can't quite figure something out, most of it trial and error though.
