As long as it's under 100C, you're "fine", they have a thermal rating of 100C, it will probably take about ~115, but it will hold it, granted it will be slightly damaged, but "fine"...

DUDE. Taht is a crazy hot laptop. mine hardly goes above 75 if I have it on a surface where it can't cool down (e.g. laying on my bed)

Re: My laptop is hot, literally

Have you ever cleaned it?

Spray all the openings including the optical drive in the open position..

Re: My laptop is hot, literally

Too bad most Mac laptops do not have a vent to blow out the hot air but eh stuff like this happens, if it does have a vent and a cpu fan im sure it does some where in there lol blow it out with a computer cleaner.

One of my clients had a laptop running @ 65c - 70c so I called a friend to get an estimate on the repair (replacing heat sink to copper sink + Labor + parts) total was $150 USD including parts so I said eh.. -_-.

So instead I suggested my client to get some computer cleaner (compressed air) and i blew all the sh*t dust bunnies out of the cpu fan and vent and total for repair was $10 USD lol so I charged client $50USD for doing the job :P the laptop idle was @ 37c-45c basically fixed the heating issue no need to replace to copper sink.
