have any of you ever had shin splints Im getting them from my new job becuase of being on concrete floors for 9 hours a day. Any methods to getting rid of them I got gel soles, supposidly you can tape your shins to prevent it anyone have any of their own methods for getting ride of the pain.

Hurt so bad that I wanted to get rid of all feeling lol so ended up taking 1600mg of ibuprofen in one dose, and then regretted the large dose and drank like 15L of water to save my liver lol, upside couldn't feel my leg or anything for that matter for the rest of the day.

15L of water would flood your body and you would die.

ibuprofen is practically useless, if the pain is really that bad you could probably get something stronger from the docter like t3's or t4's, hydromorphone. if its bad it will only get worse the best thing would be to take a break and let your shins heal

wasn't actually 15L lol it was more like 6Lof water. I took the Ibuprofen to reduce the swelling it helped with the pain though but that's mainly because I didnt pay attention to what i took so I meant to take ibuprofen with Tylenol and instead took ibuprofen only lol.

Shin splints are fricken terrible. I used to get them when I ran CC. Ice it all night every night. I'd usually do 15min on and 15min off each night and it helped quite a bit.

Get something to cushion your knees, while working if you can, maybe a towel. Icing it will help as Toast said, but warming in up can help relax the muscles.
