New PC Help

I have a question. I just bought another pc. I need to transfer files from my old one to my new one. What would be the easiest and quickest way?
I thought about using a bridged Ethernet cable to connect the 2 pcs together. Do I need to do anything to enable networking?
I know using a regular Ethernet or USB cable can fry both computers, power supply and or motherboards.

What version of 7? Home, Pro, Ultimate?

Re: New PC Help

You could try using a homegroup, or an external hard drive.

Re: New PC Help

He would need Pro, or Ultimate to do network, it doesn't work with Home, the features just aren't there, although external / portable HD will work with any.
