Setting up a dedicated server on HCE

I was setting up a server for me to try if it works so I could help my friend (not gonna name him/her)
Lets call her Noli.
So then I was able to set it up and added 1 to my ports (also portforwarded) and I was able to join
the server then I asked Tori and Elite55 to try joining said I can't and then Tori tried to help me but
still can't and suggested to post a topic on the forums.
Noli tried to make his/her server too but only ppl using his/her router could join also tried that on
:ugh: no luck making it available to the internet.

Note:
If there are some secret methods used which is for the clan members only you may move this topic. [OHHHHHH]
Any help is appreciated.
I'll be active on this topic everyday when free.

Re: Setting up a dedicated server on HCE

If it's only visible on their router, then they need to set that server's IP to DMZ. That's what I had to do in the past.

But, essentially, if you plug your modem directly into that PC, then it will be visible. I can guarantee you that.

When I run a server, I use wireless and you can still see it in the list.

I think it would be a port forwarding issue...

Re: Setting up a dedicated server on HCE

As I said, it's been a long time since I've tried to build an internet server. So, it might be easier than usual.

I had to DMZ the server IP to my router in order for it to be visible.

Re: Setting up a dedicated server on HCE

Well, I also recommend you to use wireless, it saves you the problems with the ports and it will be more stable(less laggy).
For me, it sounds like a version problems. Once , i heard SAPP can help you to solve it, but i don't really remember xD

Re: Setting up a dedicated server on HCE

I can't find Thomson TG585 v7 which is my router but I searched through the YouTube yet I'm not sure if
it was the correct way.
_______________________
I checked it out just now and didn't see any port forwarded stuff so I port forwarded just now.
_______________________
Then I asked SmG sexy if he could join after starting the server, yet no luck :ugh:.
__
Its not really incomplete but ppl still can't join.
I skipped the part L and N.
EDIT: all I need now is how do I port forward 2302 to 1234 or I will need to port the haloceded to a port higher that 2302 for it to work?
I will edit this again if my solution is correct.

2nd EDIT:
(didn't work)
I don't understand L :/.
PHP Code:
echo "I didn't know what I was doing."

Re: Setting up a dedicated server on HCE

This is how you do it on my router.

Your router may be a bit different, but if you use port forwarding range that's how you do it.
