Uhh simulated graphics, cryengine 3 was developed for console platforms since consoles had outdated hardware, An example why crysis 2 was first created for consoles then exported later to the pc. The original crysis was the shit, it ran cryengine 2; the best developed engine at the time. It was the best benchmark game where you would be a god if you could run crysis on extra settings. Nonetheless game devs have moved away from the pc gaming industry and made the console industry their top priority since coding for consoles with outdated hardware was much easier than exporting a pc developed game to console.

halo 4 is using halo reach's engine...as 343 said they modified the engine a lot...
prob the same for crysis 3 btw i think mc has wasy better graphics than any game...
