Well, I think everybody knows who Julian Assange is rigth?...
To those who doesn't know, he's the creator of Wikileaks, who's acussed to a series of crime by US. This guy is persecuted because he told the truth.

Now, Some of you may know that he was fleeing from this charges and haven't been in public for 2 months...until now. The last thursday, Ecuador, my country, granted Political Asylum to Julian. YES, FINALLY SOMEONE HAD ENOUGH BALLS AND GUTS TO DO IT(no offence for the other countries). More interesting is that, the day before UK threated The embassy with a letter saying that: "Scotland Yard" would break into the embassy if we don't give them Assange.

What I want to point out in the last paragraph is the UK letter. What do the other countries believe that Latin America is? It's because we don't have the same economy as them which make us "inferior". Now we(not just Ecuador, all the UNASUR and ALBA) have shown everyone that Latin America is not to be underestimated, we're not monkeys who will follow any order that they try to give us. We might have a low economy, we might not be as big as their are, we might not be so influetial, but that does not mean they'll step on us.

I wrote this without the purpose to insult anyone or any country, it was just to express my opinion, but to read yours aswell.

Well Latin america is a great place to be. I only been there 3 hours and left from there. But I did saw cool cultural stuff. But what makes me mad is that they do really bad things to the environment. Brazil destroying the forest. Which USA supported the Environmental organizations to stop that. And Without USA and Canada, all of Latin America could have gone bankrupted. They helped them give better supplies for mining. They trade crops and other stuff that they can't grow. And money too.

The first trade agreement was between Canada, USA, and Mexican. Than other countries within North and South America wanted to join. Cuba can't trade with USA, it is illegal. And I understand because they were a big problem for them during the missal crises. But their doing good by themselves lol.

What the fudge do you mean Brazilian are destroying the trees? Are you dumb! They pay the farmers to not destroy the trees. It is still illegal to destroy things from the amazon except some parts.

Well first of all to rabbit they accused him of raping women in Sweden which is not more than just an excuse for the real menace he is for countries like USA and the UK. I am proud of being friends with someone from a place in which they believe in truth before the control and power. Dont think that USA has been so cooperative with latin america. For example there are documents in wikileaks that show the analysis that USA was doing in our country in 1970-1873 when the first Socialist president was elected which was consider comunist and finally ended in a Putsch and then in a Dictatorship for almost 20 years influenced directly by USA. The truth has to be more important than the power of the governments and event though we all know the type of countries that USA and the UK are and the things they do to complete their objectives wikileaks showed us that they have nothing that can keep us believing in their lies.

plus @Nebula... the trade was illegal between Cuba and the U.S. because the US wasn't able to take Cuba over when they invaded....

you all need your realities checked. you read something on the internet and just right off the bat believe its all true? I dont know what you guys are thinking, but I dont believe that the strongest military that has ever existed could leek something so easily? How do you know that the documents on that site are TRULY for real? You don't. So lets not speculate and plot and call names because after all, people wold flip if AMERICA did that. Whats good for the geese SHOULD be good for the gander, but I guess thats not the case when you got second bests trying to one up ya :p

They never invaded Cuba...they trained the rebels that hated the communist government. Which failed because they sucked at fighting lol.

USA was against socialistic and communism. That's why they fought in wars to prevent it. They Supported the Afghans so they can beat the Soviets and the Socialistic government in Afghanistan. That's an example. Another one is WW2. Without USA, Germany could have been under the soviet's after the war. Britain and France helped USA too. They knew it was a good idea. USA has done many things that not even other countries had the guts to do.

Excactly, and the horrible part is that we are considered arrogant and rude for getting the balls to help others and to protect those who cant. And there arguments are pathetic to, they call us fat, and gun wielding maniacs. You cant have a legitimate discussion about any of this because they resort to name calling and teaming up on you for trying to be mature. Yet its a catch 22 cause if you stoop to there level,and just say "you guys are just butt hurt america is the best" then the tables just flip and they make you the bad guy.

Whatever, some country has to be the adult and step up, even if that means taking hate for doin whats right. But whatever, because they all are just ungrateful for everything america has ever done for everyone.
