A cracked CD key is a key used when people download the game and didn't pay for it in anyway. If u didn't pay for the game u may have a cracked key.

I payed for it for HPC but I also used it for HCE

Well because HCE is basically HPC but with just multiplayer and custom stuff (hence why its called custom edition)

If you used the same bought cd key for haloce as you have for HPC then you are using a legit key
