The hardest based on general public opinion and review sites is either Reach or Halo 2. (Halo 4 campaign wasnt accounted for)
I find Halo 2 Campaign even on Heroic much MUCH harder than Halo 1 Campaign on Legendary.
Agreed though, halo 1 campaign was a really great experience.

Nah, Halo Reach campaign was the easiest for me. I haven't completed on legendary yet (I'm on mission 8) because my disc broke up like 4 months ago... but the progress is really fast. The lack of floods made it much easier.

Add halo 4 to the list I would consider it as hard as halo 3 but I liked the story way more :O

F U unKnowN. I though Halo 2 Vista was the easiest in legendary. Plasma pistol and BR and that is all you need at the beginning, but at the end it gets complicated xD (i just usually skip them all floods :P). It took me facking 6 hrs to beat a mission in Legendary in Halo Reach....and me and my friend were doing co - op....but we eventually beat the campaign in Legendary :D. But the third to last mission i did it all in solo.

If your playing on with someone else is easy cause if u die you just spawn with him but srsly some parts in halo 4 solo were impossible I spent 10 mins on one checkpoint
